Jan Donkerwater

Jan Donkerwater grew up between the polders and the pop music of the eighties. His songs are portraits: of people on the street, of thoughts you would rather keep to yourself, of the small moments that change everything. He sings in Dutch because the language fits the stories -- and the stories do not need translation to land. At Null Circuit Records, he found a home for music that resists categories but feels immediately familiar.
